What to expect
The initial appointment may take between 60 to 90 minutes depending on your situation. A full health history will be taken including your history of surgeries and injuries since birth. You may be asked about your own birth, if there was any trauma in the labour or delivery.
Physical assessment will include you standing, sitting, and lying down on your front and back, and possibly on your side. The manipulations may be performed in these positions as well. All treatment is performed through your clothing. (See below for a full list of manipulations)
You will be consulted on self care to be completed at home. The outcome to your recovery and rehabilitation will be influenced by your proactive participation in your health. Subsequent treatments may take between 30 to 60 minutes.
Osteopathy is not covered by OHIP, but it is covered by some extended health care plans.
Clinical fees (13% HST included)
Initial Assessment and Treatment - $150 ($132.74 + 17.26)
60 minute treatment - $115 ($101.77 + 13.23)
45 minute treatment - $85 ($75.22 + 9.78)
30 minute treatment - $75 ($66.37 + 8.63)
Pediatric fees per session
0 - 5 years - $46 ($40.71 + 5.29)
6 - 12 years - $75 ($66.37 + 8.63)
